Your Bed & Breakfast in Tuscany
7 unique B&B double suites, each with its own bathroom
Our Chianti B&B is perfect for those wandering travellers that don't want to stay in one place for more than a few days but would still like some peace and quiet. Or, if you want a beautiful place to stay but don't want the bother of buying supplies for breakfast and other meals, our bed and breakfast in Tuscany is perfect for you.
The rooms are in Villa Patrignone, so if the Villa is booked, there won't be any B&B availability. Each room has a unique style and theme, all are beautifully furnished and decorated, and each has a private en-suite bathroom.
B&B rooms cannot be booked more than 90 days in advance.
The Villa has a huge kitchen with a magnificent fireplace where we may serve your breakfast (unless you would rather eat in the gazebo outside in the morning sunshine, or unless we have breakfast in the Old Frantoio). Breakfast will include fresh tea and coffee (fliter and espresso), juices and cereals, freshly baked bread, freshly sliced locally cured hams and cheeses, home-made jam...and cake! It's traditional for Italians to have sweet pastries for breakfast, and Verity loves baking cakes, so you are bound to get one of her latest creations to try out, usually warm from the oven.
The Villa has a lovely cool sitting room with comfortable sofas overlooked by the Library, which you are free to browse as you wish.
And of course you have full access to Patrignone’s many outdoor areas, including the lovely swimming pool with its amazing views.
The minimum stay is 3 nights, but please feel free to stay as long as you like. There are no cooking facilities available if you are staying with us on a B&B basis, but there is a fridge you can use if you would like to keep things cold.
And Verity's 'famous' breakfast
Verity's amazing breakfast includes fresh home-baked bread and cakes, fresh fruit, sliced local meats & pecorino cheeses, home-made organic jams & marmalades, cereals, juices, and lots of coffee (filer and/or espresso).
Choose your room at our B&B in Tuscany
The Blue Room - beautifully furnished with a lovely enamel bath and views of the glorious sunset every evening. It is the only room in the Villa with a bath (plus a shower hose for those that prefer to save water), and it has amazing sunset views over the Terracotta Terrace and the valley beyond.
The EM Forster – perfect for all writers as it is furnished with a large oak writing desk. However don’t expect to do much writing as the room has two beautiful windows looking out over the olive groves and forests. Very inspirational!
The Black and White Room – another oft-seen Tuscan colour scheme, so if you get sick of all that Siena brown, terracotta red and cypress green, this tastefully styled room should clear your visual palate ready for another day. It also has a lovely but tiny 'Juliet' balcony with amazing views over towards San Gimignano. It is a twin room but can be made up as a double.
The Charleston– one of our favourites. An old radiogram, plenty of Bakelite (Tuscan variety, of course) and other early 20th Century decorations give this lovely room a warm pre-war feel.
The Green Room – this beautiful room has a wrought-iron bed and looks out over the ivy-coloured enclosed courtyard and over to our southerly olive groves.
The Oriental Room – this is the largest bedroom in the Villa and houses some of Carla's collection of decorations and from the Far East. Not truly Tuscan perhaps, but beautiful none the less.
The Travellers' Room – this beautiful room is on the second floor in the eaves of the Villa. The bathroom is 'compact' but cute, smaller than the others for sure as it is under the eaves, but this is more than compensated for with the best views ever. A small 'Juliet' balcony gives you 180 degree views for miles and miles, with amazing sunset over the distant (and often snow-capped) Apennines.
Want to rent the whole lot? Well, you can! Just rent Villa Patrignone.
By the way... rooms are not serviced during your stay unless you are here for over a week, in which case we'll change linens and towels every week. We'll be happy to service your room daily for an additional charge.
And breakfast on Sunday is 'self-service' with cheeses, sliced meats, and fresh bread placed, home-made jams etc placed in the fridge for you the night before, along with juices, milk, cereals and a slice or two of breakfast cake of course. (It's our one day when we try and have a lie-in - hope you don't mind.)
Note that there are several steps leading up to the Villa front door and a few steps between rooms and levels within the Villa. Those who struggle with steps might be better taking a ground-floor apartment (any except Villa Patrignone and Caminetto).
NB - we cannot accept any B&B bookings more than 60 days in advance of the start of the booking. Oh, and sorry, but because of the shared nature of B&B accommodation, it's not ideal for children.
